Laboratory Assistant in the Biology Department

As an apprentice looking to obtain a Swiss Certificate of Proficiency (EFZ) as a Laboratory Assistant in the Biology Department, you work in the quality control and research laboratory. By the end of your training, you will have a broad scientific basic understanding and will be capable of planning, preparing and carrying out trials independently.

Duration of training: 3 years

Requirements:

  • Secondary school or junior high school with a 10th school year
  • Great interest in nature and the natural sciences
  • Great interest in mathematics
  • Good abstract imagination
  • Good observation
  • Accuracy, cleanliness, care and responsibility
  • Patience and perseverance
  • Enjoyment of practical work
  • Team spirit
  • The ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
