von Willebrand Disease

hTreatment options:

Haemate® P – confidence thanks to experience1
For more than 30 years, Haemate® P has been the gold standard in the treatment of von Willebrand Disease.1,2

High efficacy:

  • Efficacy was rated "good" to "excellent" in 95-100% of cases, with a low rate of mostly mild ADRs*, according to a retrospective analysis of data from 97 pediatric and adult patients with various types of von Willebrand Disease.3 This efficacy is based on the following characteristic properties:
  • Physiological vWF profile, which is similar to that of normal human blood plasma due to the large proportion of high molecular weight multimers. This results in high collagen binding activity as well as platelet adhesion and aggregation.2,4
  • High vWF:FVIII ratio (2.4:1), which ensures therapeutically effective plasma levels of vWF and helps prevent elevated FVIII levels that can cause thrombosis.5,6

Safety:

  • Data from more than 30 years of clinical use show a high level of viral safety and good tolerability.1
  • Long clinical experience: Haemate® P has been the most prescribed treatment for von Willebrand Disease for more than 30 years with extensive data including studies with long treatment duration.1

Indication:
Von Willebrand Disease: prophylaxis and therapy of bleeding or bleeding during surgery in the event that treatment with desmopression (DDAVP) alone is not effective or is contraindicated.
Hemophilia A (congenital FVIII deficiency): prophylaxis and therapy of bleeding.

Composition:
Von Willebrand factor and blood coagulation factor VIII from human plasma (ratio 2.4: 1).

Short Product Information Haemate® P.

Sehr selten: siehe www.swissmedicinfo.ch. Stand der Information: 03/2022.
